Hobbies

I am a female scientist who is currently studying ants for my Master's Degree at UCF. I'm originally from the West Coast (Seattle and Southern California) but moved over here a few years back. I'm ADHD so I know how to help anyone who struggles with learning disorders and needs more hands-on approach. I believe tutoring is not just about getting good grades (hopefully good grades in the end) but actually understanding the material. I don't mind helping students study and teaching them study techniques, but I do expect my students to do work on their own time. (I can help students study but that requires a lot more time and $$ on their part). I love science and nature and I want to make sure others can appreciate it as much as I do. At times science can be dry and boring but that just means you have to find more entertaining ways of learning the material. For hobbies I love hiking and playing with my dog. I own an Etsy store and love to craft and read on the weekends.
