Experience
As a tutor, my goal is to help students build a strong foundation of the concepts and then build upon it. By starting at the ground level, I can assess where the student is struggling and I can customize their learning to cover those areas. I focus my tutoring on math because that is one of my strengths. I am very patient with students and will go over a problem as many times as it takes for the student to understand. I will continue to go over topics in different manners until the student understands the concept. In this style, I am teaching at the student's pace and not my own. In addition to math, I work with students in social studies, general homework support, and various science classes. I also provide summer tutoring to keep skills sharp over the break. I am studying chemistry at the University of Central Florida. I enjoy my labs at the university, especially the basic acid-base titration procedure because of the amazing color change that occurs when it is performed. I am a person that likes to keep busy and when I am not studying or tutoring, I enjoy ping pong, video games, basketball, and surfing the web.
